I usually prepare payasam with vermicelli and white sugar. Then it's all changed once my neighbour gave me this broken wheat paysam on vishu. I just fell in love with that. It's a low calorie dessert / low fat dessert because this paysam is made up of jaggery and not the white sugar. And also you all know broken wheat is an excellent source of fibre. This Indian kheer is easy to prepare and also a very healthy dessert. Go ahead, prepare and enjoy this low calorie Indian dessert for this festive season.
