Noodle Bar, Phoenix Market City, Bangalore { Restaurant Review }

Phoenix Market City in Bangalore is the latest destination for all shop alcoholics and it's fastly becoming a dining hub of Bangalore. Among the restaurants, joining pride with others is Noodle Bar, the Oriental Cuisine restaurant by Pan India Food Solutions. Noodle Bar Offers a wide range of oriental dishes from the exotic corners of China, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, Japan and Korea.

Few days back, I and some of fellow bloggers were invited for Food Blogger's Round table at Noodle Bar.

First Look: The thing I noticed on entering the restaurant is transparent kitchen that allow the diners to view the chef in action. Noodle bar has a rich decor. It has a classy Asian theme decorations and upholstery with a contemporary touch.

About Food:
The restaurant has scrumptious variety of starters that include Crispy prawns, Lamb Pao, Crispy Bombay Duck, Limeleaf chicken, Stir fried Lamb, Sea Food & Smoked Chicken in Yin Yang. We stared with mocktails and starters. All the starters were great but I personally like Lime leaf Chicken and Crispy Bombay Duck. For vegetarians Onion pancake, Veg Spring roll, wasabi Cottage Cheese, peppery corn fritters and burnt garlic mushroom are among starters.
Clockwise from Bottom: Limeleaf Chicken, Chicken Skewers, Bombay Duck, Nonveg Dimsum, Crispy Prawns, Yinyang
Clockwise from Bottom : Lamb Rendang Curry, Burnt Chilli Lamb Noodles, Burma Noodles
The main course dishes is like Burnt Chilli Lamb Noodles, Roast lamb, Prawn with crab Meat, Lamb Rendang Curry, Chicken Rice. Don't forget to try the Burnt Chilli Lamb Noodles which is the signature dish of the Noodle Bar. Also try the Moonfan Chicken rice with Lamb Rendang Curry, its an amazing combo where the curry is served in stone pot which looks so authentic and traditional. Some of the veg main course includes Lions Heart Cottage Cheese, Chinese Greens, Veg Penang Curry, Pad Thai Noodles, Jasmine rice etc.

Noodle Bar's  "Toss it up!" menu where the diners can pair a noodle of their choice with a combination of meats, vegetables, sauces and garnish and if this leaves you confused, you can always ask for recommendations on pairing. Some of the Noodle Bar's signature dishes are Lime leaf Chicken, Burmese Kaukswe, Burnt Chilli Noodles, Chinese Lobster in Curry Sauce and special desserts like Coconut jaggery dragon rolls, Spiced Fruit tempura, Lime n Lemon creme Brulee.
Sizzling Fruit & Nut Brownie

And no meal is complete without desserts. The desserts were very much interesting. One must try dessert is the Sizzling Fruit and nut Brownie which sizzles when the chocolate cream is poured. This dessert is perfect for cold winter afternoons. Also we had Gelatos - the honey dipped deep fried noodles served with ice creams. It also got my full marks.

When talking to Sanjay Malkhani, Master chef, Noodle bar commented, " At Noodle bar, we aim to delight the gourmands with the finest and most delectable Oriental Cuisine. The menu comprises an exotic variety of flavors from around the world and will appeal to everyone with their delicious succulence.

Summary: As per me this restaurant is good value for money and worth frequenting, if you really grave for oriental food.  It's really a great place for people who love Noodles, but if you are just looking to grab a quick bite, then Noodle Bar probably is not the best choice for you.

Cons: Though it is understandable there are no walls around the restaurant to provide big space feeling that takes out little bit of privacy of diners. Staffs needs to be more clear in communication. Overall it was delightful eating experience and great value.

Meal for two would cost:
Rs 1000/- without tax
Rs1300/- with tax
