Paneer Ghee Roast recipe | paneer recipes | paneer ghee roast recipes with step by step pictures | Simple and Yummy recipes

Paneer ghee roast is a Mangalore-style paneer side dish that can be served either as a starter or side dish for roti, ghee rice, neer dosa, etc., It is a vegetarian version of the most popular Mangalorean chicken ghee roast recipe. Check here for the 👉 Chicken Ghee roast recipe.


Usually paneer ghee roast is dry and served as a starter recipe. But one can make a slightly thick gravy by adding water to serve as a side dish for roti, chappati, naan, etc.,

Two types of chilies are used for this recipe one for the flavor and the color. The
Byadagi chilies used here in this recipe determine the flavor of this recipe and also gives a beautiful red color and aroma to this paneer ghee roast recipe. The other one is for the spice level.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:
  • 200 gms - Paneer
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp Fennel seeds
  • tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 5 - Byadagi Chilies
  • 3 - Dry red chilies
  • 4 - garlic cloves
  • Small piece of Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind water
  • ¼ to ½ tsp Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Curry leaves few
  • Coriander leaves few
  • Salt as required
Method:

  • Cut the paneer into cubes and aside.
  • Dry roast both the chilies for 2 -3 mins. Dry roast the whole spices until their aromas are released and color changes.
  • Add the roasted dry chilies and the whole spices to a blending jar or mixie jar along with ginger, garlic, curd, and tamarind extract. grind to a fine paste by adding little water. Keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a wide pan, when hot add the paneer cubes and shallow fry both sides till golden brown. keep aside.
  • Heat the remaining ghee and add the freshly ground paste and ½ cup of water. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat until ghee separates from the masala.
  • Next, add the fried paneer cubes and mix well to coat with the masala.
  • Cook for 3 minutes on low heat. Finally, add in the curry and coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the heat.

Creamy Paneer Lababdar ( Restaurant style ) | Paneer Gravy Recipe | Paneer Lababdar recipe | #simpleandyummyrecipes

The Restaurant-style Paneer Lababdar - a North Indian gravy recipe where grated paneer and paneer cubes are simmered in a rich creamy onion tomato gravy. It is a popular paneer gravy recipe and can be found on the menu of many Indian restaurants. Make this restaurant-style side dish paneer gravy at home using my simple and easy method.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 - Cinnamon stick
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 2 - Cardamon
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger, julienned
  • 1 ½ cups of Water
  • 100 gms, Paneer cubed
  • 100 gms grated paneer
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • ½ tsp Kasturi Methi
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
To Make Paste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ¼ - tsp Cumin seeds
  • ¼ - tsp Pepper
  • 1 - Onion, chopped
  • 1 - Green Chili
  • 2 - Tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 - dry Red chili
  • ½ cup water
Method:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wide pan. When hot add cumin seeds and pepper. Saute for a few seconds.
  • Next add onion, green chili, ginger, and garlic. Saute till onion turn translucent.
  • Next add the chopped tomatoes, dry red chili, cashew nuts, and little salt. Saute for 3 mins on medium heat.
  • Then add 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook for 5mins on medium heat. After 5 mins open the lid and give a mix. Cool and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter in a wide pan. Next add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and ginger, and saute for a minute.
  • Add the ground paste and 1 1/2 cups of water and mix well. Then cover and cook for 10 mins on medium heat. After 10 mins open the lid and give a mix.
  • Next grate 100 gms of paneer and 100 gms of paneer pieces and salt to it. Mix gently to combine.
  • Cook for another 3 minutes on medium heat. Then add garam masala, dry fenugreek leaves, and a pinch of sugar and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes on medium heat.
  • Next, add coriander leaves and fresh cream and mix well. Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapati or roti.

Next add the chopped tomatoes, dry red chili, cashew nuts, and little salt. Saute for 3 mins on medium heat.
Then add 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook for 5mins on medium heat.
After 5 mins open the lid and give a mix. Cool and grind to a smooth paste.

To make gravy

Heat 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter in a wide pan. Next add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and ginger, and saute for a minute.

Add the ground paste and 1 1/2 cups of water and mix well. Then cover and cook for 10 mins on medium heat. After 10 mins open the lid and give a mix.

Next grate 100 gms of paneer and 100 gms of paneer pieces and salt to it. Mix gently to combine. Cook for another 3 minutes on medium heat.
Then add garam masala, dry fenugreek leaves, and a pinch of sugar and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes on medium heat.

Next, add coriander leaves, and fresh cream and mix well. Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapati or roti.

Paneer Hyderabadi Recipe | Hyderabadi Paneer Masala | Dhaba Style Paneer | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Paneer Hyderabadi is a green-colored gravy made with paneer cubes, spinach, and coriander leaves, flavored with aromatic and rich spices. This is an authentic recipe straight from the kitchen of nawabs. A perfect side dish for Indian flatbread like roti, naan, chapati, etc.





Ingredients:
  • 100 gms Paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 2 Green chilies, chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves, chopped
  • Ginger, small piece chopped
  • 1 Bunch of Spinach
  • a handful of Coriander leaves
  • ¼ cup of Curd
  • ¼ cup of Fresh Cream
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • ¼ Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 3 Green Cardamom
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as required
Method:
  • Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan, when hot add the thinly sliced onion and saute for1 min on high heat.
  • Next add chopped green chilies, chopped ginger, and garlic pieces. Saute till onion turns soft on medium heat.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and saute till it becomes soft and mushy on medium heat.
  • Next, add the chopped spinach and a handful of coriander leaves. Saute and cook till the leaves are wilted and tender, say about 5 mins.
  • Allow it to cool and transfer to a mixer grinder. Add 1/2 cup of water and grind it to a smooth paste.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan or kadai, add the whole spices and saute. Next, add the ground paste and mix well.  Cover and cook for 5 mins on medium heat.
  • After 5 mins open the lid and add all the spices powders and mix well. Then add the required salt and cook the gravy on medium heat until it becomes thick.
  • Then add 1/4 cup cream and 1/4 cup curd. Mix well and cook for 2 mins on medium heat.
  • Add the paneer cubes and garam masala powder. Mix well. Then add 1/4 - 1/2 cup of water. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 mins on low heat.
  • Finally, add dried fenugreek leaves and mix well. Serve hot with roti and phulkas.

Paneer Omelette | Indian Cottage Cheese Omelette | Step By Step Pic + Video | Paneer Egg Omelette | Simple and Yummy Recipes

It's a perfect breakfast recipe and also very easy to make. You can make this for dinner too. It is a healthy breakfast recipe and also tastes very yumm. It makes a great breakfast/tiffin recipe for your kids, to ensure they are eating a wholesome meal because it has the nutritious value of both paneer and eggs which are both great sources of protein.
Preparation time: 2 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins
Serves: 2
 Ingredients:
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100 gms Paneer, cut into small cubes
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • ½ Capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 Onion, small-sized, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 3 tsp Curd
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • 1 and  ½ tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Break the egg in a wide bowl. Season with little pepper and salt. Whisk lightly and keep aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan, add the finely chopped onions, green chillies, capsicum and saute till it turns translucent or till onion becomes soft in medium flame.
  • Next, ginger garlic paste and add all the spice powders ( red chilly, garam masala, turmeric ). Mix well and saute on low flame for 2 mins.
  • Then add the curd and mix well. Saute the mixture for a min on low flame.
  • Next, add the paneer cubes and mix well. Cook for a min on low flame. Add a few coriander leaves and give a mix. Set aside to cool.
  • After it cools down add the paneer mixture to the beaten egg. Mix well and leave aside for 5 mins.
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a small frying pan. Pour some ladleful of egg paneer mixture to the pan.
  • Cook for 4 -5 mins on low flame until it sets on top. Once the omelette sets and cooked on one side, flip the omelette and cook the other side for 2 more min. Once done transfer to a plate and serve hot.

Dhaba Style Panner Masala
Ingredients
  • 1 large Onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 large Tomato, grind to a puree
  • 1 large Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Cardamom pods
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 dry Kashmiri Red chilly
  • ½ tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 Kashmiri Chilly powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ¼ tsp Cumin powder
  • ¼ Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tbsp Dry Fenugreek leaves
  • Few Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
Whole Spices
  • 1 or 2 Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 3 Cardamon
  • 1 tap Cumin seeds
  • 1 Dry Red chili 
To Marinate Paneer
  • 100 gms Paneer, cut into small cubes
  • ½ Red Chilly powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Ghee ( Clarified Butter )
Method:
  • In a large bowl place the panner pieces, add chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Add 1tbsp of water to it and mix well. Keep aside and allow it to marinate for 30 mins.
  • Meanwhile heat 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp ghee in a frying pan, when hot add the whole spices ( cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds, dry red chilly ) and fry for a min in medium flame.
  • Next, add the finely chopped onion, mix well and saute on a medium flame for 2 mins. Then add the ginger garlic paste and mix well. Cook on medium flame until onion turns golden brown in colour.
  • Next add all the spice powders - coriander powder, cumin powder, Kashmiri red chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix well and saute and cook on low flame for 2 mins.
  • Add the pureed tomato and mix well. Cook in low flame until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Meanwhile, heat another small frying pan. Add 1 tsp ghee and allow it t melt in low flame. Add the marinated paneer pieces and cook for a min on high flame.
  • Add the paneer pieces to the masala mixture and mix well. Then add 1 cup of water to it and mix well and bring it to a boil.
  • Cover and cook the gravy for about 5 mins in low flame. After 5 mins on the lid and give a mix.
  • Finally, add kasthuri methi and coriander leaves, give a good mix and switch off the flame. Serve hot with roti, naan and paratha.

Kadai Paneer | How to make kadai paneer | Kadai Paneer gravy | Simple and Yummy recipes

Kadai Paneer - a semi-dry curry made with paneer, capsicum and spices. This recipe is very easy to make and tastes awesome. This recipe is very aromatic and gets its unique flavours from freshly ground spices like coriander seeds, fennel, cumin etc..

Kadai Paneer is one of the most popular recipes in India. It's there on the menu in almost all Indian restaurants. Kadai means wok and Paneer is Indian cottage cheese. It is cooked in a kadai ( wok 0. Hence the name kadai paneer. But if you don't have a kadai, you can use any other pan.

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 150 gms Paneer, diced
  • 1 Capsicum, diced
  • 1 small Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cardamon pods
  • 1 large onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato pureed
  • 2 Dry Red chilly
  • 2 green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kasthuri methi ( dry fenugreek leaves )
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Salt as required

To Roast & Grind

  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Peper corns
  • 1 tsp  fennel seeds
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamon pods
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies

Method :

  • Dry roast all the spices in a pan say for about 3 mins. Allow it to cool. Transfer the spices to a mixie jar or blender and grind to a coarse powder. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil and ghee together in a heavy-bottomed kadai. Once hot add cinnamon stick, cloves and dry red chilly and fry for few seconds.
  • Then add finely chopped onion and saute for a minute.
  • Next, add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Saute and cook till onion turns brown in colour.
  • Add tomato chopped and pureed tomatoes. Cook till oil separates in low heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp ground spice powder, red chilly powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well. Cook till the raw smell of the spices goes off.
  • Then add capsicum and paneer pieces to it. Give a good mix.
  • Add 1 cup of water to it and mix well. Cook for about 10 minutes in low heat.
  • Finally add dry fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves and cook for a minute.
  • Serve it with hot rotis and phulkas.

Schezwan Paneer

Preparation Time : 3 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients
  • 100 gms of Paneer
  • 1 Onion, small-sized cut into wedges
  • 1 Capsicum, small-sized, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 tbsp finely chopped Garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp finely chopped Ginger
  • 1/2  tsp finely chopped green chillies ( optional )
  • 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Maida flour
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1tbsp Spring Onions, chopped (optional )
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • For the batter, take a bowl, add maida flour, cornflour, pepper powder, salt and add little water and mix it all together.
  • Place the paneer cubes into the batter and coat the paneer pieces with the batter.
  • Take a wide pan and add oil and shallow fry the paneer pieces on both sides, remove it and keep it aside.
  • Take a wide non-stick pan, add 1/2 tbsp of oil and add garlic, ginger, onion, capsicum and stir fry these for about 2 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, schezwan sauce and give it a good mix, stir-fry for one minute in low flame.
  • Now add the fried paneer and mix well so that the sauce coats the paneer pieces.
  • Finally, add the spring onions and serve hot.

Paneer Butter Masala - Easy & Restaurant Style | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Paneer Butter masala is one of the most popular recipe in Indian cuisine.  Here i'm sharing the best and the simplest method of making paneer butter masala in restaurant style. It's is best served with naan or roti or paratha.

Ingredients:
  • 200 gms of Paneer
  • 2 Large Onions
  • 3 Large Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2 Slit Green Chillies
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 to 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 to 2 Cinnamon stick
  • 3 to 4 Cardamon pods
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 to 2 cups of Water
  • 1/3 cup Fresh Cream
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 Tbsp Kasuri Methi
  • Few Coriander Leaves, chopped finely
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp Butter
Preparations :
  • Dice the panner.
  • Finely chop the onions.
  • Puree the tomatoes in a blender or mixer.
Method :
  • Heat Oil and butter together in a large wide pan or kadai, wait until the butter melts.
  • Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Add cinnamon, cardamon, bay leaf and fry.
  • add the finely chopped onions and cook till it becomes golden brown in colour.
  • add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, coriander powder and mix well.
  • add the pureed tomatoes,  salt, sugar, 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
  • Cook the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes in medium flame or until the tomatoes are cooked.
  • then add the diced paneer and give a mix.
  • next add the fresh cream and 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes in low flame. 
  • Add garam masala, kasuri methi and fresh coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the stove. Check for the salt and add if needed.
  • Serve hot with chapathi or roti or phulkas or naan. 

Paneer Butter Masala

Step By Step Instructions of How to make Paneer Butter Masala
  • Heat Oil and butter together in a large wide pan or kadai, wait until the butter melts.




  • Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.

    • Add cinnamon, cardamon, bay leaf and fry for few seconds.
    • add the finely chopped onions and cook till it becomes golden brown in colour.
    • add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, coriander powder and mix well.
    • add the pureed tomatoes,  salt, sugar, 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
    • Cook the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes in medium flame or until the tomatoes are cooked.

      • then add the diced paneer and give a mix.
      •  next add the fresh cream and 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes in low flame.
      • Add garam masala, kasuri methi and fresh coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the stove. Check for the salt and add if needed.
      • Serve hot with chapathi or roti or phulkas or naan.
