Paneer Omelette | Indian Cottage Cheese Omelette | Step By Step Pic + Video | Paneer Egg Omelette | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Are you bored of the same old omelette recipes, then try this Paneer Omelette recipe which can be done in a few minutes. A simple, healthy, protein and calcium-rich breakfast recipe.

It's a perfect breakfast recipe and also very easy to make. You can make this for dinner too. It is a healthy breakfast recipe and also tastes very yumm. It makes a great breakfast/tiffin recipe for your kids, to ensure they are eating a wholesome meal because it has the nutritious value of both paneer and eggs which are both great sources of protein.
Preparation time: 2 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins
Serves: 2
 Ingredients:
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100 gms Paneer, cut into small cubes
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • ½ Capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 Onion, small-sized, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 3 tsp Curd
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • 1 and  ½ tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Break the egg in a wide bowl. Season with little pepper and salt. Whisk lightly and keep aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan, add the finely chopped onions, green chillies, capsicum and saute till it turns translucent or till onion becomes soft in medium flame.
  • Next, ginger garlic paste and add all the spice powders ( red chilly, garam masala, turmeric ). Mix well and saute on low flame for 2 mins.
  • Then add the curd and mix well. Saute the mixture for a min on low flame.
  • Next, add the paneer cubes and mix well. Cook for a min on low flame. Add a few coriander leaves and give a mix. Set aside to cool.
  • After it cools down add the paneer mixture to the beaten egg. Mix well and leave aside for 5 mins.
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a small frying pan. Pour some ladleful of egg paneer mixture to the pan.
  • Cook for 4 -5 mins on low flame until it sets on top. Once the omelette sets and cooked on one side, flip the omelette and cook the other side for 2 more min. Once done transfer to a plate and serve hot.

Kadai Paneer | How to make kadai paneer | Kadai Paneer gravy | Simple and Yummy recipes

Kadai Paneer - a semi-dry curry made with paneer, capsicum and spices. This recipe is very easy to make and tastes awesome. This recipe is very aromatic and gets its unique flavours from freshly ground spices like coriander seeds, fennel, cumin etc..

Kadai Paneer is one of the most popular recipes in India. It's there on the menu in almost all Indian restaurants. Kadai means wok and Paneer is Indian cottage cheese. It is cooked in a kadai ( wok 0. Hence the name kadai paneer. But if you don't have a kadai, you can use any other pan.

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 150 gms Paneer, diced
  • 1 Capsicum, diced
  • 1 small Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cardamon pods
  • 1 large onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato pureed
  • 2 Dry Red chilly
  • 2 green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kasthuri methi ( dry fenugreek leaves )
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Salt as required

To Roast & Grind

  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Peper corns
  • 1 tsp  fennel seeds
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamon pods
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies

Method :

  • Dry roast all the spices in a pan say for about 3 mins. Allow it to cool. Transfer the spices to a mixie jar or blender and grind to a coarse powder. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil and ghee together in a heavy-bottomed kadai. Once hot add cinnamon stick, cloves and dry red chilly and fry for few seconds.
  • Then add finely chopped onion and saute for a minute.
  • Next, add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Saute and cook till onion turns brown in colour.
  • Add tomato chopped and pureed tomatoes. Cook till oil separates in low heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp ground spice powder, red chilly powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well. Cook till the raw smell of the spices goes off.
  • Then add capsicum and paneer pieces to it. Give a good mix.
  • Add 1 cup of water to it and mix well. Cook for about 10 minutes in low heat.
  • Finally add dry fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves and cook for a minute.
  • Serve it with hot rotis and phulkas.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3

Ingredients
  • 200 gms Paneer ( Indian Cottage Cheese )
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Amchoor powder ( Mango Powder ) or Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Maida Flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder ( optional )
  • Bread Crumbs for coating
  • Salt as required
  • Oil for deep frying
Method:
  • Cut the Paneer into finger-sized pieces and keep aside.
  • In a wide bowl place chilly powder, turmeric powder, amchoor powder, salt and mix well. Now add the paneer cubes and mix everything well, make sure the mixture coats well with all the paneer pieces. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl mix maida flour, cornflour, little salt with some water. Beat this to make to a fine and thick paste. The batter should be neither very thick nor very thin, it should be in medium-thick consistency.
  • Place bread crumbs on a wide plate, add garlic powder to it and mix well.
  • Now dip a paneer piece into the batter and roll over the bread crumbs, make sure the bread crumbs coats well on all sides of the paneer pieces. Repeat with remaining paneer pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan or kadhai for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, gently place the paneer pieces one by one in small batches and fry till it becomes golden brown in colour. Once done, strain the extra oil with the help of ladle and pat dry with a tissue.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise.

Paneer Bhurji | Panner Bhurji with Methi Leaves | Scrambled Cottage Cheese with Fenugreek Leaves

Paneer Bhurji is a very popular North Indian recipe made with Indian cottage cheese. To this bhurji i have added methi leaves/ fenugreek leaves to it and made it more healthy. It's very easy, simple and quick recipe. This can be served with roti, naan and chapathi or make a roll using chappathi and serve this as a kids lunch box recipe. 


Methi Paneer Bhurji

It can be even substituted with spinach leaves/ palak, instead of fenugreek/ methi leaves, and make ' Palak Paneer Bhurji '. It's an very healthy recipe. This can be served in variety of ways like can be served along with roti or make a roll with it, or make stuffed parathas with it and also can be served as variety rice recipe by mixing this bhurji with cooked rice.

Preparation time : 5 mins
Cooking time : 5 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients :

  • 1 Onion, medium sized
  • 2 Tomatoes, medium sized
  • 1 bunch Methi leaves / Fenugreek leaves
  • 100 gm Paneer / Cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 green chilly
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil
Preparation:
  • Crumble or grate the paneer.
  • Remove the methi leaves from the stem and wash and keep aside.
  • Chop onion and tomatoes & finely chop green chillies.
Method :
  • Heat oil in a kadai, when hot add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Add onions, green chilly to it and fry till the onion turn golden brown in colour.
  • Next add tomatoes, all spice powders and salt to it and saute for 2 -3 mins.
  • Cook till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • Add the methi leaves and cook till wilted.
  • Then add grated paneer to it and mix well.
  • Saute and cook for one more minute.
  • Serve with roti, chappathi, naan etc.

Paneer and Spinach Bites | Healthy snacks with Paneer | Healthy snacks with Spinach

I love paneer. It is such a versatile ingredient to cook. Today I will share a quick snack recipe made with paneer. It is kids friendly and also perfect for a veggie party. This dish is a real delight for paneer lovers!.

 The addition of spinach leaves makes it a more healthy recipe. When you have boiled potato in hand, this dish is very very quick to make. This dish can be served on its own or crumble the tikkis/cutlets, place them on chappati and roll it and grab it on the go.

Preparation time: 20 Min's 
Cooking time 10 Min's
Serves: 4 to 6 persons

Ingredients:
  • 100 gms Cottage cheese/ Panneer, crumbled
  • 1 small bunch of Spinach leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 medium-sized boiled Potato, mashed
  • 2 Green Chilly, very finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp of powdered fried gram
  • Salt to taste
  • Veg Oil or Olive oil for shallow fry
Method:

 1. Crumble the paneer, wash and finely chop spinach leaves and mash the potato.
2. In a wide bowl, place all the ingredients except oil. Combine and mix well. If the mixture is sticky add some more fried gram powder

3. Divide the mixture into small balls and flatten them to a round shape or any desired shape.

4. Heat oil in a pan. Place the flatten patties/tikkis/cake on the pan and cook in a medium flame for 2 mins or till it's done.

5. Then flip on the other side carefully and cook again for 2 more mins till it turns crisp and golden brown.

6. Repeat the same for the remaining mixture.

7 Serve it with tomato ketchup.

Paneer Tikka

  Many of you especially kids like Paneer Tikka. In this recipe, the paneer pieces are marinated in spice mixture paste along with veggies, arranged in skewers and they are cooked either using oven, griller or in stove top method. You can prefer whatever method you like. The preparation method can be done in advance and stored in fridge. So when you throw a party at home this can be served as a starter. The tangy taste, enticing smoky flavour and the juiceiness of the paneer make this a wonderful and yummy dish. Serve this paneer tikka sprinkled with some chaat masala and mint chutney.

Paneer Peas Pulao

Paneer Peas Pulao is a very popular recipe. I tried this recipe for yesterday's lunch and served with chicken masala as side dish. I love the combo of paneer and peas. This pulao is easy and simple to make and yet delicious too.

Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice - 2 cup
  • Onion, chopped lengthwise - 1
  • Green Chillies - 2, chopped
  • Peas - 1/2 cup
  • Paneer - 100 gms, cut into cubes.
  • Cinnamon - 2 sticks
  • Cloves - 3
  • Star Anise - 1
  • Cashew Nuts - few
  • Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seed powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method
  • Cook basmati rice along with peas with enough water and spread it on a plate to cool and reserve it.
  • Deep fry paneer cubes and keep them lukewarm water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add cinnamon , cloves, cashew nuts, star anise and fry for 1 Min.
  • Then add salt, pepper powder, cumin powder and coriander powder to it and fry till raw smell goes off.
  • Add add onions, green chillies and fry till it becomes golden brown.
  • Add cooked rice with peas and paneer cubes and mix well and serve hot.

Rajma and Paneer Wrap

Today i made Rajma and Paneer wrap for my lunch. Its a perfect lunchbox idea for the kids, loaded with protein, calcium and fibre. People who are always on the move and want to spend less time in eating, try this rajma and paneer wraps. You can substitute tofu instead of paneer. And this is going to participate in " JFI : Rajma " event hosted by Divya of Dilse.

  • Rajma - 1/2 cup
  • Paneer - 1/2 cup
  • Chappathi ( Whole wheat Rotis ) - 3
  • Onion - 1Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Tomato Puree - 3 tbsp
  • Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Mint Chutney - 1/4 cup
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp (Optional)
  • Coriander leaves, chopped - 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan and add the paneer cubes to it and fry them till they turn slightly brownish and take them out and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil add cumin seeds, when the seeds crackle add asafoetida.
  • Next add onions to it and fry till they turn golden brown in color.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, chilly powder, coriander powder and little water and mix well, simmer and cook till the raw smell goes off.
  • Add the rajma and salt, mix well and cook on a low flame for 2 to 3 Min's.
  • Finally add coriander leaves and paneer cubes to it and mix well.
  • Divide the stuffing into three equal portions and keep aside.
How to Proceed
  • Place a roti on the dry surface and evenly apply the mayonnaise and mint chutney on it.
  • Place a portion of the stuffing at the edge of the roti and roll it up tightly.
  • Repeat with remaining to make 2 more wraps.

Palak Panner Sandwich

I wanted to try something new in the kitchen, so i thought... how about a sandwich with paneer. I love paneer, big fan of it. And one small bunch of spinach was left over. So i thought i would add that to my sandwich. Made sandwich. It tasted lovely. So here' s what i did.

Ingredients
  • Spinach - 1 small bunch
  • Panner ( Cottage Cheese) - 100 gms
  • Bread Slices - 4
  • Butter to Spread
  • Onion - 1 small one, chopped
  • Garam Masala - 1tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
Method
  • Wash the spinach leaves and chop them finely. Chop also panner and keep them aside.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, add chopped onions to it and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Then add garam masala, coriander powder and fry for 2 to 3 Min's or till the raw smell goes.
  • Add salt to it and mix well
  • To it now add panner and palak and fry for 2 to 3 Min's and then turn off the flame.
  • Spread the butter on one side of each bread.
  • Place the fillings between breads and grill them on sandwich toaster.
  • Grilled palak panner sandwich is ready.
