Oats Laddu in 5 mins | Oats Ladoo Recipe | Step By Step pic + video | Healthy Recipes | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Oats Ladoo is one of the healthy, delicious, easy, and quick sweet recipes made with oats, mixed dry fruits, and nuts. A powder packed healthy treat made in just 5 mins. Also now you can be healthy and satisfy your sugar cravings at the same time.

Oats are a good source of fiber and also contain many other vitamins and minerals like magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorous, etc. These ladoos are great for both kids and adults. To make it more healthy you can add flax seeds, chia seeds and some more nuts and dry fruits. You can even melt some dark chocolate and coat the ladoo, kids will enjoy this way.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Quick Oats
  • 1/4 cup Mixed nuts, chopped
  • ( I used Almonds & Walnuts )
  • 5 Dates, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery or any Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 - 3 tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
Method:
  • Heat a frying pan, add the chopped mixed nuts and dry roast for 3 mins in medium flame and transfer to a plate to cool.
  • In the same pan, dry roast the sesame seeds for 1 -2 min in low flame or till it becomes light brown and transfer to a plate and keep aside.
  • To the same frying pan, add 1 tsp ghee / clarified butter and allow it to melt in low flame. Then add the oats and roast for about 3 mins in medium flame. Once done transfer to a plate and keep aside to cool.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the plate ( dates, jaggery, cinnamon powder, salt ) and mix well. Transfer the ingredients to a mixer jar.
  • Grind this to a coarse powder and transfer the mixture to a wide plate to make balls out of it.
  • Add 1/2 tbsp ghee first and mix well. Then add ghee little by little and mix it in the mixture. Keep adding the ghee till you can make ladoo out of it.
  • Once the texture achieved to make balls / ladoo out of the mixture. Store the ladoo in an airtight container and enjoy it whenever you want.

Schezwan Egg Cheese Dosa is an innovative fusion recipe that combines the South Indian and Chinese flavors. An Indo-Chinese breakfast recipe and it has all the flavorings to fall in love with this recipe - egg, cheese, schezwan sauce. This recipe is said to be a hit among the kids and also for the cheese lovers like me. If you don't like the eggs then skip the egg and make only with the cheese.

Ingredients
  • Dosa Batter
  • 2 - 3  tsp Schezwan Chutney
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cheese Cube
  • Oil
  • little Salt
Method:
  • Heat the dosa tava / griddle. When hot enough, pour a ladleful of batter on the tava.
  • Immediately spread the batter on the tawa by moving the ladle in a circular motion all over till it spread around in thin consistency. Keep the heat in medium flame.
  • Next, drop the schezwan chutney and spread all over the dosa with the back of the spoon.
  • Next, break an egg in the center of the dosa and again spread all over the dosa with the help of the spoon.
  • Sprinkle some salt over the egg. Cook in medium flame for 1 min. Drizzle some oil in and around the dosa. Flip and cook the other side for a min. Then flip back again.
  • Grate the cheese cube directly all over the dosa. Cook till cheese melts in low flame. Fold in half and serve hot.

The Bread omelette can be made in several ways. Here I'm sharing a very simple version yet tasty recipe. It is a delicious and quick breakfast or snack recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 8 Brown Bread Slices
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 Green Chilly
  • ¼ tsp RedChilly powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required
Method:
  • Cut the bread diagonally and keep aside.
  • In a wide bowl mix together green chilly, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • Break the eggs and add them to the prepared mixture above. After adding the eggs, beat the mixture for a minute.
  • Then add the milk and beat them for 3 mins.
  • Heat a dosa tawa, when hot dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and place it on the tawa
  • Drizzle some oil around the bread slices and cook for a min on low heat.
  • Flip the bread slices and smear some oil again and cook for a min on the other side.
  • Serve hot with some tomato ketchup and fresh orange juice.

Cheese Paratha with whole wheat flour | Cheese stuffed Paratha | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Cheese Paratha - it is an easy and simple recipe to make. It is an all-time favorite recipe for cheese lovers ( like me ðŸ˜Š), especially kids. It is a perfect dish to pack for your kid's lunch box. make this cheese paratha with whole wheat flour for breakfast or quick dinner along with some yogurt and pickle.

All you need is some processed cheese cubes, wheat flour, green chilies, garam masala and you are good to go. But you can also use other cheese like mozzarella cheese etc....

Preparation time: 15 mins
Resting time: 30 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves: 2 person

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • enough water for kneading dough
Cheese stuffing ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup grated Cheese (I used Amul cheese cubes )
  • 1 Green chilly, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • pinch of Salt
Method:
  • In a wide bowl mix together wheat flour and salt. Add water little by little and knead to form a smooth and soft dough. Cover it and let it rest for 30 mins.
  • To make the filling, place the grated cheese in a bowl, add green chilly, garam masala and salt. Gently mix it and keep aside.
  • Pinch a portion of the dough and make a medium-sized ball. Roll the portion of the dough into a small circle using flour for rolling.
  • Put a portion of cheese stuffing in the center of the dough. 
  • Bring together all the sides to the center and seal tightly.
  • Roll again into a circle using wheat flour by placing the sealed side down. Roll it gently so that stuffing doesn't come out.
  • Heat a Tawa and smear some oil. Place the paratha and add few drops of oil on it cook for a minute on medium heat and then flip over apply oil on the other side as well cook the paratha on medium heat till both sides have golden brown spots on them Repeat with the remaining dough. Serve hot.

Vermicelli Biryani | Egg Semiya Pulao is a very quick and easy one-pot meal dish that can be either made for breakfast or lunch. It is also perfect for kid's lunch box recipes. It tastes really delicious and easy to make as well.

I have added mixed vegetables and scrambled eggs to this recipe to make it more healthy. You can skip the egg in this recipe. Serve this with simple onion raita.

Cooking time: 20 mins
Serves : 3 persons

Ingredients:
  • 150 gms or 2 cups Vermicelli
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 2 Tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • few Mint leaves
  • ¼ cup Carrot, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Beans
  • ¼ Green peas
  • ½ tbsp Ghee
  • 800 ml or 4 cups of Water
  • few Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as required
Whole spices
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamon pods
  • 1 Bay leaf
For Egg Mixture
  • 3 Eggs
  • little Red chili powder
  • ½ tsp Pepper powder
  • ½ tbsp Oil
  • Salt as required
Method:
  • Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed kadai or wok. When hot add the vermicelli and fry till it turns light brown in color. Keep aside to cool
  • Heat oil in wide heavy-bottomed kadai, when hot add the whole spices and fry or few seconds.
  • Add onions, green chilies and fry till onions turn golden brown in color on medium heat.
  • Next add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder. turmeric powder, garam masala, mint leaves, and a little salt. Saute till tomatoes become soft and mushy on medium heat.
  • Next add the vegetables - carrot, beans, peas. Saute and cook the vegetables for 3 mins on low heat.
  • Add the water and required salt. Mix well and boil. for 5 mins on medium heat.
  • Next, add the roasted vermicelli and mix well.
  • Cover and cook the vermicelli on low heat till done.
  • When done add chopped coriander leaves and gently mix it. Keep aside.
  • Break 3 eggs to a bowl. To it add little chili powder, pepper powder, salt as required and whisk it.
  • Heat oil in a wide non-stick pan, when hot pour the egg mixture and gently scramble the eggs and cook till done.
  • Next, add the scrambled to the vermicelli and gently mix it. Serve hot with onion raita.

Chilli Garlic Noodles | Simple and Yummy Recipes

Chilli garlic noodles - An Indo Chinese recipe which is very easy to make and tastes very delicious. This is a fuss-free and quick meal for those busy weeknights.

We absolutely love this noodles recipe very much. It is a repeat meal in my kitchen. You can use any noodles you readily have. I have used egg noodles for this recipe. For the spiciness, adjust the quantity of chili sauce.

Ingredients:
  • 200 gms Noddles
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 Carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ tbsp Green chili, finely chopped
  • ½ Green Capsicum, thinly sliced
  • ½ Red Capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Cabbage
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp Red chili sauce
  • ½ tbsp Green chili sauce
  • Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil
Method:
  • Bring 2 liters of water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
  • Add a few drops of oil and a little salt to it and mix well. Next, add the noodles and give a mix.
  • Boil the noodles till they are 90% cooked on medium heat.
  • Once cooked drain the noodles in a colander and rinse in cold water. Keep aside to drain completely.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wide saucepan. When hot add chopped garlic, green chili, and onion. Saute the onion till they are transparent.
  • Next add the carrot, capsicum, and cabbage to it. Saute on low heat for 3 mins.
  • Add all the sauces and mix well and saute for a minute.
  • Next, add the cooked noodles and mix well.
  • Add pepper powder and spring onions. Stirfry the noodles for 5 mins on low heat.

  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Chilli Idli Recipe - An Indo Chinese recipe using leftover idlis and also it's the best way to use leftover idli. If you are bored of eating idli and chutney for dinner, then try this recipe. A perfect and delicious recipe for dinner and also it's a kid's favorite snack recipe.

When you have any leftover idlis, then it can be done immediately. The best results are achievable only when you use cold idlis. Do not forget this step. If using freshly made idlis then it has to be refrigerated at least one hour so they consume less oil and do not stick or break while frying them.

Ingredients
  • 2 no. leftover Idlis
  • 1, medium-sized Onion, cut into cubes
  • 1, small Capsicum, cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped Garlic
  • ½ tbsp finely chopped Ginger
  • ½ tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • Salt as required
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Oil for frying
To Coat the idlis
  • 1/2 tsp red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • pinch of salt
Method
  • Cut the idlis into cubes. Place them in a wide bowl. Add chilly powder, pepper powder, a pinch of salt and mix well. Then add the cornflour and mix them gently. (Or you can directly fry the idli cubes without any coating too )
  • Heat oil in a kadai to deep fry the idlis. Deep fry in batches. Or else pan fry the idlis with 1 tbsp oil. Keep aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai / wok. When hot add chopped garlic, ginger, green chilies. fry them.
  • Next add cubed onions, capsicum and fry till onion turns light brown in color.
  • Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup. salt as required. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Finally, add the fried idlis and combine them well. Cook for a minute and serve hot with tomato ketchup

Ingredients
  • 200 gms Paneer ( Indian Cottage Cheese )
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Amchoor powder ( Mango Powder ) or Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Maida Flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder ( optional )
  • Bread Crumbs for coating
  • Salt as required
  • Oil for deep frying
Method:
  • Cut the Paneer into finger-sized pieces and keep aside.
  • In a wide bowl place chilly powder, turmeric powder, amchoor powder, salt and mix well. Now add the paneer cubes and mix everything well, make sure the mixture coats well with all the paneer pieces. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl mix maida flour, cornflour, little salt with some water. Beat this to make to a fine and thick paste. The batter should be neither very thick nor very thin, it should be in medium-thick consistency.
  • Place bread crumbs on a wide plate, add garlic powder to it and mix well.
  • Now dip a paneer piece into the batter and roll over the bread crumbs, make sure the bread crumbs coats well on all sides of the paneer pieces. Repeat with remaining paneer pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan or kadhai for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, gently place the paneer pieces one by one in small batches and fry till it becomes golden brown in colour. Once done, strain the extra oil with the help of ladle and pat dry with a tissue.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise.

Today's recipe is a typical and popular traditional Tamilnadu egg recipe called Karandi Omelette. It's a very tasty egg recipe and can be prepared this in no time. It's nothing but an omelette recipe, prepared in a traditional way and it is very famous street food in Tamilnadu. It's a favourite egg recipe among kids and even adults too.

We use tempering pan ( spatula or ladle ) / small tadka pan for making this recipe. In Tamil, we call this is as Thalipu Karandi, hence the name karandi omelette. Egg lovers... do try this.

Ingredients:
1 Egg
2 tbsp Onion, finely chopped
1 small Green Chilly, finely chopped
1/8th tsp Red Chilly powder
1/8th tsp Turmeric powder
1/8th tsp Pepper powder
Few Curry & Coriander Leaves, finely chopped
Salt as required
1 tbsp Oil

Method:
  • In a bowl place all the ingredients except Egg ( onion, chillies, spice powders, leaves and salt ). Combine well the mixture.
  • Crack one egg to the mixture and whisk/beat the egg mixture nicely.
  • Heat oil in the tadka pan, make sure the oil coats the spatula/ pan completely.
  • Now pour the egg mixture to the karandi / tempering spatula. Cook the omelette in low flame.
  • Once it is slightly cooked on one side, gently flip the omelette to the other side with the help of a spoon and cook in low flame. 
  • Now the omelette is 3/4th cooked. Keep flipping the omelette till it is completely cooked and slightly brown on the outside. ( Check this step in the recipe video link provided )
  • Transfer to a plate and serve hot with rice with sambar, rasam, curd.

Egg malai masala is a very mildly spiced creamy gravy. This creamy gravy is made with milk, onion paste and very little spices. So kids will love this gravy.

This recipe should be cooked in low flame only. It needs very fewer spice powders and it has a very mild sweet taste, so it is a kid-friendly recipe. If you want a little more spicy, increase the number of green chillies. It tastes lovely when served with butter naan or roti.

Ingredients:
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Onion, large sized
  • 3 to 4 Green Chillies
  • 6 cloves of Garlic
  • small piece of Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
Preparation :
  • Boil the eggs, peel the skin and cut into halves and keep aside
  • Place onion, chillies, ginger and garlic in a mixer or in a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
  • Chop the coriander leaves.
Method:
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a kadhai or in a pan.
  • When the oil is medium hot add onion paste and saute. Keep frying the mixture for 15 minutes in low flame. Cook till raw smell goes off.
  • Add the masala powders and salt and mix well.
  • Now add the milk and mix well. Cook in low flame till the oil separates.
  • Once the oil separates, place the egg yolk side down. Cover and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes open the lid, flip the egg yolk up, cover and cook again for another 2 minutes.
  • Finally, add the chopped coriander leaves and gently mix. Switch off the flame.
  • Serve the egg curry with naan or roti.
