A typical South India style easy and mouthwatering Mushroom Sukka recipe. Its very easy and super quick to make. It tastes best with curd rice and it makes an awesome combo.
I have used shallots in place of onion and it gives a very nice taste to this recipe. One important point in this recipe is use only less tomato for this sukka recipe. Don't use more tomato for this... that gives a different taste to this recipe. Using capsicum gives a very nice flavour for this recipe too.

Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 150 gms Button Mushrooms
- 2 Dry Red Chillies
- 10 Shallots, chopped
- 1 Capsicum, small-sized, chopped
- 1/2 Tomato or 1 small sized Tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- Few Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Heat oil in a frying pan, when hot add dry red chillies and fry.
- Add the chopped shallots, curry leaves and saute for a minute.
- Then add the chopped capsicum and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste. Mix well and saute.
- Next, add the spice powders and cook for a minute.
- Then add the mushrooms, salt. Mix well and saute for a minute.
- Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or till mushrooms are cooked.
- Finally, add the pepper powder and coriander leaves. Mix well and saute for a minute.
- Serve it with rice or chappathi
