Ingredients for making chappathi / paratha Dough
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- 1 tsp Oil
- Salt
- Water
- Place the wheat flour, oil and salt in a large bowl.
- Knead into a soft dough by using enough water
- Cover and leave the dough for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal balls
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Onion, small-sized, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Capsicum ( optional )
- 1 small finely chopped Green Chilly
- 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- Place all in the ingredients mentioned above in a deep bowl.
- Beat the egg mixture until frothy and keep aside.
- Roll a ball of dough into round even layer with the help of rolling pin by dusting some wheat flour.
- Heat a tawa / dosa pan until hot enough.
- Smear some 1 tsp oil on the tawa and place the paratha and let it cook for 30 seconds on both sides.
- Take a ladleful of egg mixture and pour over the paratha and spread the mixture evenly over the paratha with the help of the spoon.
- Smear some oil around the paratha and cook for 1 minute.
- Gently flip the paratha, smear some oil again and cook for another one minute.
- Once it is done, serve hot with your favourite chutney/ gravy or pickle.
